Moi and Toi?

Each year I look around my store and contemplate what I have done the past year and get a feeling of what I want to accomplish the next year. This year, I want to get back to my roots of where I started in the business and what I enjoyed so much about it instead of trying to get the best selling brands in the industry. Don’t get me wrong, many of the brands that I have I love and I will keep, but I want special pieces that you will cherish for years in your closets.

One of my favorite brands that I carry is Chan Luu. Her exquisite jewelry and clothing are handmade and the styles are modern, simple and classic. Here our beautiful Model Jill Cosey from Salon Rouge is wearing the crystal pearl hoop earrings and braided pearl bracelet by Chan Luu.

We used to carry lots and lots of great whimsical accessories like this Lips Clutch that is just way too fun! Lips are so on trend right now! We have a lot of get “Lips” items coming in soon, just in time for Valentine’s Day!

I love fun novelty tops and sweaters and I am always on the hunt for them. This Moi… Toi (Me…. YOU in French) sweater from Italian sweater line Kontatto is the PERFECT way to ask your special someone to be your Valentine.

Happy Holidays!!!

It is such a exciting time of year as we bake our cookies, put up our trees and wreaths, decorate the house, etc…. We need to take time to enjoy the moment!

We enjoyed spending the afternoon with Miranda at her beautiful home last week where everything was so colorful and contemporary!

She is wearing an amazing colorful 3/4 sleeve dress by Frank Lyman. A great combination with her contemporary decor.

Holiday Cheer!

We have one of the greatest places in town just two doors down from our store that transforms their store into a different theme each month. It is called “Junk Evolution” where they repurpose antique items and make them fabulous again! “Home for the Holidays” is the theme this month and we were able to have our photo shoot in their store!

It is a great time of year to get together with family and friends. In this cozy comfortable setting, the girls are enjoying a nice glass of wine after a long trip.

Our beautiful model Kayla Zimmerman from Salon Rouge is wearing a beautiful ivory lace dress and metallic jacket by Neesh by DAR with a crystal and gold necklace and pearl ring. She is also wearing a vintage hat from Junk Evolution.

Vintage luggage, santas, ornaments, clothing and of course furniture and collectibles galore is what Junk Evolution has this month.

Today’s photo shoot takes place in our upstairs salon room. This favorite room showcases beautiful dresses and evening wear for special occasions and holiday events. Our model, Miranda, is just too “haute” to handle in our sophisticated holiday sparkle!

We had a great time in the salon room laughing and playing holiday dress-up with Sandra. She is always “ready to work”, and our clothes are always “ready to play”!

Fall Photo Shoot at the Farm

A couple of weeks ago, one of our fashionable stylist/models showed me a picture of her taken by a photographer friend of hers that absolutely blew me away. I have been dying to do a Fall photo shoot with some of our amazing new pieces that we have in the store, but haven’t had the time to arrange it. So I asked if she would be interested in doing some shots for us and they so graciously agreed!

I seriously am in LOVE with these amazing photos!

“Urban Warmth”

Isn’t it amazing what really interesting places you can find when you go searching in your own backyard? I didn’t know that this brick wall in an alley down the street was painted so cool like this AND it just happened to look awesome with our model’s hair color!

Our beautiful model this week is Alexandra. Her hair and makeup are done by Salon Rouge in Mishawaka.

As we were walking through the alley, we came across this other cool space between two brick buildings.

She is wearing a long sleeve sweater top by Neesh by DAR and grey palazzo pants by Nally & Millie.

We soften the look of a leopard print scarf with a feminine slouchy rosette hat.

Hidden behind the edgy urban look was this gorgeous crystal necklace by Otazu.

“Stage Your Fashion”

We were thrilled to be able to shoot at “The State SB” historic theatre this week in downtown South Bend where they highlight local arts and music talent! Kelly is looking like a celebrity behind the aviators in this bohemian look which is perfect inside this rustic theatre!

“Whiskey and Fashion”

Last week, we were so lucky to be able to get to do our photo shoot at the new hip whiskey bar, “The Exchange” downtown, not too far from our store in South Bend, in the old Wells Fargo Bank Building on Jefferson Blvd.

Rachel is looking ultra cool wearing one of our favorite quilted jackets with sweater sleeves by Linea Domani.

Our beautiful model is Rachel from Salon Rouge here sitting pretty in one of the big wing back chairs. I added an extra long chain/crystal necklace (you can see it better on the first picture) to introduce another “chain” element to this look.

“Reflections” in Beutter Park, Mishawaka, Indiana

We decided to enjoy the day at the beautiful Beutter Park in Mishawaka , Indiana while it is still warm enough to be outside. One of the biggest trends for Fall 2013 is leather and studded jewelry and so I decided to highlight these trends in this shoot for the week.
